Your title is very misleading. There is nothing wrong with consuming lemon water in the morning, and even better with little salt, as it neutralizes the acidity. Although may be still better if you eat the peels, but eat organic then, as otherwise lemon peel might have preservatives, pesticides etc.

of course, we forgot to include the pesticides and celsium 3 from the peel. how thoughtless.
