Footage has emerged of an intriguing network of caves found through a rabbit hole, that many believe were built around 700 years ago.

According to local legend, the Caynton Caves, near Shifnal, in Shropshire, were used by followers of the Knights Templars.

Located less than a metre underground, they appear to be untouched structurally.

The place has many pillars, hidden alcoves and ritualistic symbols and sigils as well as more modern scrawled messages, written by youths who have turned the temple into a drinking den.
