Researcher, Shannon Dorey joins Dr. Rita Louise on Just Energy Radio where she discusses the enigmatic African cultural group the Dogon and provides insights in the their core beliefs including a belief in extraterrestrial gods.
Shannon Dorey is a graduate of Trent University in Peterborough Ontario, where she first became immersed in the study of history and mythology. Her interests were expanded into religious studies after studying the New Testament at the University of Windsor in 1991. She began her writing career as a journalist and first began research on the Dogon in 1999. Realizing the importance of the symbolism in the Dogon religion, Dorey has devoted most of her time to researching and writing about this subject.
Her first book, The Master of Speech was published in 2002. Her second book, The Nummo in 2004, and her third book Day of the Fish in 2012. Dorey is presently working on a fourth book that explores Dogon star knowledge.
