Florida Senator Marco Rubio is the third Republican to formally announce his candidacy for president; he did so at a packed rally yesterday at Miami’s Freedom Tower. Rubio made his declaration just one day after Democrat Hillary Clinton officially jumped into the race. Rubio wasted no time in taking a jab at Hillary Clinton by declaring that yesterday is over.
Just yesterday, a leader from yesterday, began a campaign for President by promising to take us back to yesterday. But yesterday is over, and we are never going back.
Fox News contributor and syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said that Rubio gives voters a distinct choice.
Basically he is saying do you want old or do want new? And he is also implying versus Jeb Bush, do you want privileged or unprivileged? And I’m the One, that’s his attractiveness. He promises youth, energy and a new leaf.
