A little girl and her family just got the fright of their lives when a 375-pound male silverback gorilla suddenly charged at them, breaking the glass of the enclosure.
The family ran away from the attacking gorilla absolutely terrified, but got it all on film.
The father thinks the gorilla was targeting him, but you can see in the reflection of the window the little girl beating her chest when it happened, which may have triggered the attack.
Just moments before he attacks, the little girl is seen smiling and pounding her chest in front of the glass. (Screenshot/YouTube)
An official at the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in Nebraska in America said no one was hurt, and no one was ever at risk, reported Omaha.com.
After analyzing the video of the 20-year-old gorilla Kijito, a primatologist and co-director of the Jane Goodall Research Center at the University of Southern California told Omaha.com that he didn’t see anything strange about Kijito’s behavior.
“The only unique aspect was that this time the glass broke. It could honestly be anything from anger to play—behavior from anxiety to pure pleasure.”
