Police recently arrested Nickole Dykema, a Florida woman, in whose mobile home they discovered thousands of bladed weapons.
She attempted to stab police officers, who had an arrest warrant, with a large sword or machete upon entrance of her mobile home.
Dykema has been charged with assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, property damage/criminal mischief and three counts of violation of probation.
Deputies went to Dykema’s Brooksville home to assist probation and parole officers in issuing an arrest warrant at 10 PM Tuesday night.
She looked out at deputies from a broken window in her home, and she was then seen retreating further back into the home. When deputies forced their way in, they were met by her wielding the weapon. She swung at an officer and missed his face by inches.
Dykema fled into a room containing 500 bladed weapons. In adjacent rooms, there were more bladed weapons. One room had an altar covered in pentagrams.
The officers tried firing bean bags at her, but it did not stop her. She approached the deputies with several more bladed weapons.
Eventually, officers fired a stun gun which brought her down.
Deputies removed more than 3,500 bladed instruments from her mobile home.
Hernando Sheriff Al Nienhuis said: “This person was obviously dangerous to the community.” He added: “It amazes me that there deputies were able to take her into custody without being injured.”
