A North Texas veteran, Tiffany Gallaway, spotted a flag-draped coffin inside a hearse in a Walmart parking lot and grew infuriated that someone would treat a fellow veteran like that.
She waited for the driver of the hearse to return to the vehicle and then began, “Excuse me, sir, is that a casket?”
He responded by laughing and saying “yes.”
Gallaway now became more perturbed, saying: “This has got to be the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen in my life. I just want you to know that. This is absolutely horrible. That man died serving our country.”
The driver continued to laugh as Gallaway said: “I’m a veteran, and I would hope to God that when I pass – that they would have a little more respect for me.”
The driver then cracked a “joke”: “You mean you wouldn’t want to go shopping at Walmart?”
North Dallas Funeral Home did respond, saying that the stop was in violation of company policy.
Gallaway said of the incident: “Who cares if you served? Who cares if you died? It doesn’t seem to matter anymore.”
What do you think? Are Americans losing their respect for those who have served in the military?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Often we reap what we sow.
When our nation abandoned God the Creator, Hell took His place.
And, we are shocked people don’t value life?
Or, what a Veterans life represented?
Could it be we devalued life when we started aborting our children?
I was told by a Vietnam Veteran Atheist many years ago, and not too long after the end of the Vietnam War, that what made America different than many other countries was the vast amount of value Americans put on human life. And, that life in other countries was very cheap.
People died all the time and no one seemed to cared. At least not like they did in America. He said death didn’t seem to bother those in other countries much at all.
I found that very hard to believe at the time he told me.
Now, I wonder.
Maybe he was right.
Veterans always look for praise for serving? I never asked you to serve, no, you wanted to feed that big ego and kill people, bottom line!! You’re whats wrong with this world, and you’re a tool for the elite, expendable tool at that.. Your’re head must be empty to fight for them, while they fill their boots on your blood
People need to start turning their back on their military, good on the guy.. I would have personally took the car rallying!!
