GOP presidential contender Carly Fiorina said a replay of former President Bill Clinton’s sexual behavior isn’t the best way to beat Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Those wishing to press the point should remind voters of Mrs. Clinton’s behavior during ongoing rumors, investigation and President Clinton’s impeachment process, Fiorina said.
“Because while all that was going on, there were a lot of women who felt, for whatever reason, great sympathy for Hillary Clinton,” Fiorina said during an interview on the Fox News Channel show Hannity. “Look, if my husband were doing that, I would have left him. I wouldn’t have behaved the way Hillary Clinton did, and I would have apologized to all those women.”
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump resurrected the ghosts of Bill Clinton’s past when he used it as a focus of his campaign stomp. Trump’s tactics came after Hillary Clinton attacked him as being against women.
Additionally, Hillary Clinton spent time before the 1992 election interviewing women rumored to have affairs with her husband and obtained sworn statements that the rumors were false, according to Carl Bernstein, who authored A Woman in Charge. The eventual New York senator and Secretary of State also interviewed several of the women herself, Bernstein wrote.
Juanita Broaddrick, who claims Bill Clinton raped her when he was Arkansas Attorney General, said Hillary Clinton threatened her to her face only two weeks after the alleged rape occurred. Another accuser, Kathleen Willey, said Mrs. Clinton launched a “terror campaign” with its aim to target her and others accusing Bill Clinton of sexual allegations.
“She is the war on women, as far as I’m concerned, because with every woman that she’s found out about – and she made it a point to find out who every woman had been that’s crossed his path over the years – she’s orchestrated a terror campaign against every one of these women, including me,” Willey said.
