Ανακοίνωση Ι. Μητροπόλεως Σουηδίας για το χτύπημα στο κέντρο της Στοκχόλμης
Στη σκιά του θλιβερού περιστατικού που αμαυρώνει την επερχόμενη εορτή του Αγίου Πάσχα, η σκέψη και οι προσευχές μας συνοδεύουν τις οικογένειες και τα προσφιλή πρόσωπα των αδίκως φονευθέντων και τραυματισθέντων αδελφών μας.
Η τυφλή και μισαλλόδοξη βία που έθεσε στο στόχαστρο της την ειρηνική Σουηδία θα επιτύχει το εντελώς αντίθετο, συσπειρώνοντας όλες τις υγιείς δυνάμεις ενάντια στο φανατισμό.
Στις δύσκολες αυτές στιγμές επιβεβαιώνεται η σταθερή σχέση εμπιστοσύνης και συνεργασίας που έχει αναπτυχθεί μεταξύ της Επαρχίας του Οικουμενικού Θρόνου στη Σκανδιναυϊκή Χερσόνησο, του Σουηδικού Βασιλείου και της τοπικής κοινωνίας, με τους οποίους βιώνουμε τις ίδιες ανησυχίες.
Statement by the Holy Metropolis of Sweden on the Attack in Downtown Stockholm Stockholm (Friday, April 7, 2017)
In the aftermath of the appalling event that blemishes the coming celebration of Holy Pascha (Easter), our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of our fellow citizens who were unjustly killed and injured in Friday's attack.
The blind and intolerant violence that targeted the peaceful land of Sweden will ultimately bring about the opposite of what its perpetrators intended because it will unite all of society's healthy forces against fanaticism.
During these difficult moments, the steadfast relationship of trust and cooperation between this eparchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate at the Scandinavian peninsula, the Kingdom of Sweden, and local society, with whom we share the same concerns, is reaffirmed.
