What’s Going Down? February 20th, 51st Day of the Year and 314 (Pi) Days Left in 2017
February 20th is the 51st day of the year. We just had Super Bowl 51 and that Satanic Lady Gaga mess. That leaves 314 days left in this year and we all know that (3.14) = pi. Oh yes and I would be remissed if I did not say that it is also a hoiday Monday here in my home province of Ontario as we celebrate “Family Day”.
There are two (of many) interesting anniversaries that will not being celebrated on February 20th. This date was the beginning of America’s bombardment of Germany in 1944 – They called it the “Big Week” from February 20th to February 25 American bombers began bombing raids on German aircraft manufacturing centers during World War II.
Also a notable date with also happened on February 20th 20 In West Warwick, RI, 100 people were killed and more than 230 were injured when fire destroyed the nightclub The Station. The fire started with sparks from a pyrotechnic display being used by Jack Russel’s Great White. Ty Longley, guitarist for the band, was one of the victims in the fire.
Remember we recently had the Warehouse Dance Club Fire in Oakland allegedly killing 36. That was on December 2nd, 2016. Exactly 80 days ago.
There are two events from this Day in History that I look at a little more.
February 20th, 1971 – The United States Emergency Broadcast System is accidentally activated in an erroneous national alert. Started nationally at 9:33am and was called off at 10:13. 46 years ago. 46 is chaos in simple gematria
February 20th, 2016 – Six people are killed and two injured in multiple shooting incidents in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. In what has become the Kalamazoo Uber Shootings.
