Minnesota GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann, less than a year removed from leading the GOP presidential race, has eked out a narrow victor in her reelection bid.
The controversial tea party favorite defeated Democratic businessman Jim Graves, with The Associated Press calling the race Wednesday morning. As of 6 a.m., Bachmann had a 3,000-vote edge on Graves, accumulating 176,614 votes. The lead was just under 1 percentage point.
