Republican U.S. Representative Kristi Noem will be heading back to Capitol Hill for a fourth term.
Representative Noem was in Sioux Falls last night when the returns came in and talked to her supporters after the victory.
She talked about how grateful she was for being re-elected and what we need to work on to improve our nation.
Kristi Noem says, “You know we’ve been able to accomplish some real victories for South Dakota, but we still haven’t balanced our budget. We still have a deficit issue. I would love to strengthen our military, especially considering the faces, the threats that we face across the world. That needs to be our number one priority as a federal government.”
Noem won her seat in Congress against her Democratic opponent, State Representative Paula Hawks.
Noem won with a little more than 64% of the vote.
