Enertopia Corp (CNSX:TOP) says purity testing is now being carried out on the four lithium carbonate samples recently produced from its partner Genesis Water Technologies’ bench tests.
As reported earlier this month, the samples hailed from Clayton Valley in Nevada, oil well waste water in mid-USA, Argentina and Bolivia.
A third party lab is now using ion chromatography to determine the precise purity of these submitted four lithium carbonate samples, Enertopia said.
“Since the company press release of the bench test recovery numbers on March 6, 2017, it has received several requests for further information from lithium producers and other leaders in the lithium space,” said chief executive Robert McAllister.
He added that once these purity tests have been received and reviewed by Enertopia and GWT, there will be an outline for the next phase of development and selection process for the location of a pilot plant.
“Modern technology is revolutionizing lithium production technology and potentially providing a much better way to recover lithium while protecting our environment.
“We are enthusiastic in becoming leaders in this evolution,” added the company boss.
