The game in smartphone market is getting fierce with every passing day, especially in the budget segment. We have seen some really powerful devices being offered in this segment as a result of the entry of some strong players. Manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn and Lava are being challenged by players like Xiaomi and Motorola. While Lenovo has been present in the smartphone market for a while now, it seems that now they will be able to outshine the rivals with their latest budget device. Among the other interesting devices showcased at CES, they have put up the Lenovo A6000 smartphone. This smartphone will be entering the Indian market soon and here we bring you what we have learned about this device yet.
The Lenovo A6000 will be the Chinese manufacturer’s budget smartphone running a Qualcomm 64 bit chipset. The chipset here is Snapdragon 410 which has been seen on some other budget and mid-range smartphones as well. It has a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with four Cortex A53 cores. It has got 1 GB of RAM which is reasonable for a budget device. Along with that you get 8 GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot.
The Lenovo A6000 packs in a 5 inch 720p display giving you a pixel density of over 290 ppi which is pretty good. The primary camera on this device has a resolution of 8 megapixels while the secondary camera has 2 megapixel resolution. It has got a pretty good loudspeaker with 5db audio output. Apart from the usual set of connectivity options, this device will come with dual SIM slots with support for 4G networks as well. It is powered by a 2300 mAh battery which is fairly good considering the hardware it is going to power.
All this hardware is packed inside a body which is just 7.99 mm thick and tips the scale at just 128 Gms. The design is neat with thin bezels around the display. This is quite impressive considering the fact that one of its close rivals, Redmi 1S is 9.9 mm thick with a weight of 160 Gms. It is even lighter than the Google Nexus 5 which we know is really light. If you aren’t impressed yet, this device is expected to come at a price tag lower than 8K. This makes it one of the most affordable 4G smartphones in the Indian market. Expect the Lenovo A6000 to arrive in India near the end of January.
