OnePlus 2 Now Available India Without Invite System
On the occasion of its second anniversary, renowned tech giant OnePlus announced to go invite free from December 5th for its flagship phone, OnePlus 2. The company also added that from December 5th to 7th, the OnePlus X will be available without invite system, and several accessories will be up for grabs with discounts from 1 to 90 percent.
However, the announcement was just for international markets, and things were clarified when OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 2 will be available invite-free in India starting from December 7th. A company spokesperson also elucidated the fact that the open sale for the OnePlus X is still in the works, and the plans are not yet finished!
The OnePlus 2 aka “2016 flagship killer” is probably the only smartphone which offers a perfect union of top-tier specs and a reasonable price tag. The dual SIM based device bears a fingerprint sensor on its home-button, and sports a majestically crafted 5.5-inch full HD Display. It features an impeccable set of specs which includes, Snapdragon’s 810v2.1 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64 gigs of built-in memory, and the latest USB Type-C connector for seamless data syncing and charging from both ends of the cable.
OnePlus 2 offers advanced LTE connectivity on both SIM slots, and supports India specific LTE bands with perfection. It sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with dual LED flash, laser autofocus, and optical image stabilization, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with support for capturing 1080p videos. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based OxygenOS 2.0, and is likely to get upgraded to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well.
As for connectivity, along with 4G LTE and USB Type-C, OnePlus 2 offers all standard options including Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+. There is no NFC on the handset, but it’s just a small downside with a bunch of positives!
Currently, the top-tier variant of OnePlus 2 with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM is available at Rs. 24,999, while the 16GB variant with 3GB RAM is available at a decent 22,999 on Amazon India. The OnePlus X will also see an open sale in near future, but as of now, the dates are confirmed by the company!
