Lava, India’s famous budget phone maker is expected to unleash a new player in the sub-10k price category, Iris X3. The phone is now available via several online retailers at Rs. 6,499, and is likely to get officially showcased in the coming days, in White, Silver, and Gold colour options.
In terms of specs, the new Lava Iris X3 packs an ideal deal for budget phone buyers. The handset incorporates a sharp 5-inch HD IPS display with 294 pixels-per-inch, and offers a decent viewing experience with rich colours and perfect viewing angles. It powers up by a quad-core MediaTek processor (unspecified) clocked at 1.3GHz, and pairs up with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB ROM for seamless work and play. The expandable storage limit via microSD card is also not confirmed for this handset.
In addition to this, Lava Iris X3 includes an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. It delivers sharp images in all environments, and bundles an easy-to-use camera with standard features such as, panorama, HDR Mode, motion tracking, beautify, and Live Photo. The overall performance of this handset is very impressive, and is well supported by tremendous power support from a humongous 2500 mAh non-removable battery.
On the connectivity front, Lava Iris X3 stands out and packs a fair deal with support for 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. It lacks 4G LTE connectivity, but that’s a very small compromise for budget phone lovers!
After Iris X10 priced at Rs. 10,500, this one is the second Iris “X” smartphone from Lava. Launched in December 2015, the X10 looked very similar in terms of design and build quality, but its key highlights were 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, and a long-lasting 2900 mAh battery. However, the smartphones unleashed by include Iris Atom 3, Iris Atom, P7 and V5. The new Lava V5 is company’s photography-focused smartphone with a 13MP rear and 8MP front-facing shooter. It delivers an incredible camera experience, and is definitely one of the biggest hits of the year!
However, as for Lava Iris X3, the phone is available via Flipkart and Amazon India, and will have its own place in the sub-10 price bracket!
