Meizu m3 With 13MP Camera, 5-Inch Display Launched In China
After creating a big buzz with Pro 6 and m3 Note, Chinese giant Meizu has unveiled the entry-level player m3 in its home-market. Priced at CNY 599 and CNY 799, the new handset has been launched in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and other with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It is currently up for pre-orders online!

As for basic specs, Meizu m3 continues with the same Flyme 5 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The handset incorporates a decent set of specs, and sports a 5-incher HD IPS display with 296 pixels per inch and Schott Xensation protection on the top. It endows users with lifelike visuals, and powers up by MediaTek’s MT6750 octa-core SoC, paired with Mali-T860MP2 and either 2GB or 3GB memory. The processor bundled with this handset features eight Cortex-A53 cores, four running at 1.5GHz and other four at 1.0GHz.
In addition to this, a major USP of Meizu m3 is its well-equipped camera. The device, for its main camera, uses a 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture as wide as f/2.2, and a slew of mind-boggling features such as Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), dual-tone flash, geo-tagging, and HDR. It delivers sharp and crisp images, and is well perfectly supported by a 5-megapixel front-camera with f/2.0 for low-light selfies. The storage bundled stands at 16GB and 32GB in the two variants, with support for expandability up 128 gigs via microSD card.
Meizu has also given advanced connectivity options on m3. The device features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, and a bunch of on-board sensors such as, accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a magnetometer. It delivers seamless download and upload speeds on 3G HSPA+ and 4G LTE, but theirs is still no word whether it will support Indian LTE bands.
But, out of all this, the best part is, adding a big battery into a sleek and slim profile. Meizu m3 accommodates a 2870mAh battery to offer more than enough juice for an entire day, and weighs just around 132 grams and measures 8.3mm on paper. Its moulded polycarbonate body will be coming in a bunch of colour options including Grey, Gold, White, Pink, and Blue.
As of now, there’s no word on its launch in India or anywhere else outside China!
