Moadamieyh. Heavy fire is heard and the town has been sealed off by the 4th army units and the security men led by Gen. Jameel Hassan. When a town is besieged like this and cut-off from the world, any massacre on a large scale will go unnoticed for days and maybe weeks. By the time the world finds out, it becomes an old story.
Detentions. Across Syria, detentions continue with no end in sight. There are not enough detention centers or prisons to hold the massive number of Syrians arrested. The football stadiums in Dara’a and Banias have been converted to detention centers exposing the thousands inside to extreme weather conditions. Schools have also been used as detention centers. The EU and the UN must inspect Syrian jails to witness the inhuman conditions Syrians live under when detained. Thirty people in a room measuring 4X4 meters.
Alawites Demonstrating. While RPS appreciates the few who demonstrated with the Syrian people and the Alawite dissidents whose active voices have made a difference, until the religious and tribal leaders stand-up and condemn Assad publicly, this is viewed mostly as an Alawite machine of terror against the majority of Syrians, including all the minorities. Aleppo. A large demonstration is out in the city of al-Bab on the outskirts of Aleppo. Security men rushed to the region.
Homs. Demonstrators are out in the Karabeed district.
Dara’a. The city remains under siege with most basic services interrupted.
