On Sunday, the officials of Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Madya Pradesh had carried out raids on premises of a government clerk and they found to their shock he had assets worth Rs 40 crore including cars, land, gold & silver jewellery and several bank accounts & lockers.
The clerk Raman Dhuldhoye, who employed with the State Road Transport Authority in Indore, was nailed early morning at his residence in Ranipura. He had joined the service in 1996 and draws a monthly salary of Rs 16,000. Raman also has a personal assistant named Rupesh Kaushal.
The team of EOW seized documents of several properties including 49-bigha land on the Indore-Khandwa road, 4 plots in Sagar district, a huge bungalow, a hotel, and eight cars.
Superintendent Manoj Singh told, Raman also has gold ornaments weighing over 1 kg and silver jewels totaling 4.5 kg, five bank accounts, and made substantial investment in live insurance policies. He also said, “A farmhouse land, which comprises a huge bungalow, was purchased for Rs 12 crore a few years ago. It is in one of Indore’s prime locations. Today its cost would have multiplied many times.”
A case has been registered against the clerk under Prevention of Corruption Act in this regard.
