A Delhi court had today directed the police to continue their investigation in the case of a controversial CD which is allegdly contains talk between politicians Mulayam Singh Yadav, lawyer Shanti Bhushan and Amar Singh by refusing the closure report filed by investigators.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mr. Vinod Yadav had rejected the closure report of Delhi Police, saying it wasn’t clear as to why the investigation agency had rushed to file the cancellation report when it was clear that proper examination hasn’t been carried out in the case.
The court had also said that it wasn’t the case that the CD came from “thin air” and the agency could have probed when the CD allegdly containing talk between politicians Mulayam Singh Yadav, lawyer Shanti Bhushan and Amar Singh was prepared.
It said that the need behind making the CD should have been enquired as whether it was to derail the campaign for Lokpal Bill or defame Mr. Shanti Bhushan or to make a recusal of a judge in Supreme Court in the 2G case.
Further investigation ordered into Shanti Bhushan’s CD issue
