On Friday night, a lady ticket checker (TC) in the Central Railway (CR) misbehaved with commuter at Ambernath railway station. According to the primary medical report, ticket checker Radha Tomar had consumed liquor. She created a ruckus in a local train and at platform 3 at Ambernath.
Radha was off her duty at 9 pm at Dombivi but halted at Ulhasnagar and consumed alcohol with her friend in a hotel. Later, she boarded a train and started to check out the tickets of commuters with vulgar language.
The commuter could smell the alcohol on her. At Ambernath railway station about 11:30 pm, a lady commuter asked Radha if she was a TC. She shouted, “Yes, I am a TC! Yes, I am a TC!”
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) was then called, who took her to KDMC-run Rukminibai Hospital, Kalyan. The hospital sent her blood sample to the Forensic Science Laboratory, Kalina.
Radha Tomar lives at Pathare Park, Ambernath and is posted in Dombivli. Earlier, she was in RPF and became a TC some years back.
Onkar Singh, head TTE told, “I came to know about the incident through the media. I am trying to verify the truth. I will reach a conclusion tomorrow.”
