Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “has become a hostage” of an elite branch of Iran’s army that has quietly consolidated its economic and political power, a top analyst said Tuesday.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) appears to have supplanted Khamenei and other top clerics in a significant power shift that has left Iran a “military dictatorship,” according to Ali Alfoneh, who has spent years investigating the IRGC.
Khamenei “has become a hostage in the hands of his own praetorian guard,” Alfoneh said Tuesday during a discussion hosted by the American Enterprise Institute.
The mainstream media isnt reporting on this. I suspect there is indeed a power struggle going on in Iran. Probably because of sanctions on them among other things. -Mort
Just a shot in the dark, based on a feeling and not much more, I readily admit that I could be wrong, and I shall modify my opinion upon receiving additional info, there has been a tactical shift, the new strategy is an urgent full court press of the entire MSM (the well oiled, but not well designed, staffed, managed, or maintained propaganda machine) to find ANY excuse a large enough part of the population will accept, no matter how false or improbable, to start a war with Iran, Syria, and/ or North Korea…

Not much different then how they got themselves into all the others wars, WW1- 2 and so on. Either instigate an attack big enough to get the people themselves frothing at the mouth to go to war or let attacks happen to get the people to again beg for a war instead of being pushed into it.
Also the divide and conquer always works well and we can see the divisions all over working away hard at their jobs. Then you swoop in as either the savior of the remaining people or you smash the remaining people depending on the agenda at work.
Sending in sickness or cutting off food supplies are also widely used methods. Sanctions are our modern day version of cutting off supply routes. Let them starve and sicken then sooner they will give up or be easily beaten.
These are tried and tested methods of war that have been used for eons. It is a ghastly business and technology has just made it easier to spread around the misery that much faster and on a much bigger scale. When we give up it entirely then we will know we have grown as humans, as it is we are apes with fun toys.

Who knows? At any rate, it does not matter much, as Ahmadinejad, Khamenei and their clique have shamefully censored 9/11. They could have summarily nullified continued U.S. threats against them by simply asking their schools/mosques/TV to teach the self-evident terrorist controlled demolition of the twin towers. Why you talk about Khamanei when you have a picture shown of Ahmadinehad? That’s BLATANT DISINFO. Further than that though, this “coup” against Khamanei is a hoax. He’s still in de facto command. This is merely a means to divorce him from responsibility for whatever is about to happen.
