Fukushima pref gov underestimated external exposure dose of 12,500 citizens by up to 400 μSv/h, “Program error”

On 6/25/2013, Fukushima prefectural government announced they “miscalculated” the external exposure dose of 16,118 citizens (422,228 in total).

They are estimating the exposure dose of Fukushima citizens received from 3/12/2011 to 7/11/2011 and sending the results.

Among the “miscalculated” exposure dose of 16,118 people , the ones of 12,469 people (77%) were underestimated by up to 400  μSv/h.

Fukushima prefectural government states the outsourced organization, National Institute of Radiological Sciences had a program error.
