According to Tepco, the ratio of power consumption and supply stays only 83.9% this summer, which is without nuclear power.
This is the average of maximum ratio from July to 8/9/2015 in Tepco’s area.
It is considered to be power shortage if the ratio goes over 97%. In reality, the ratio remained less than 89% in 30 days out of these 40 days. Even the highest rate was only 93% (7/14/2015).
METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) forecast in April that the ratio would be 89~91% this summer.
The actual ratio was lower than their forecast.
From the end of this July, the highest temperature went over 35℃ for continuous 8 days, which was the first time in recorded history.
Federation of Electric Power Companies suspended announcing the ratio of entire Japan to state they cannot properly receive data at this moment for some reason.
