The Young Americans for Liberty chapter here at California State University – Stanislaus is steadily and surely growing in member size and ambition.
On Wednesday, March 5, 2017, members of YAL at Stanislaus joined together for another tabling event to keep the name out on campus and student's aware of the chapter itself. With a good idea of what to do, what to say and how to do it all, we've been able to really get our message across in a good way. Though this time we weren't able to get a whole lot of people signed up or interested, we did experience some traffic including a liberal extremist who talked down to the Young Republicans and seemed eager to do the same to us. We handled ourselves well, offered a debate in the near future, and felt confident that despite whatever talk he may have, that Young Americans for Liberty is here to stay on campus.
More importantly, we are getting closer and closer to becoming officially recognized on campus. With the President and Treasurer officially confirmed, we are awaiting confirmation of our Student Event Coordinator and Advisor. We expect to be fully chartered and recognized by the end of April, or at the very latest, early May.
We're excited for the coming weeks as the chartering process comes to a close and as our next event, Ax The Tax, is scheduled for next Wednesday.
