Rocker Alice Cooper is set to make a cameo appearance in a West End show on Tuesday to mark forty years after arguably his most famous song reached number one in the UK charts. Cooper will join the cast of the show, which feature eighties rock music, at London's Shaftesbury Theatre, to sing the hit “School's Out.” [Alice Cooper, Rock Legend]: “I figured that it's a live show and it's a live band, it's a great band and they're doing all those songs from the eighties and it's a natural evolvement for Alice to come out because all of those bands from the eighties kind of looked to us as being their big brothers, you know Ozzie and myself and Steven Tyler and those guys. You know so it's great hearing those songs and they do a great job of it too.” Cooper has been releasing records since the 60s. He said that while the song “School's Out” sounds innocent enough now, when it came out in 1972 it caused controversy. [Alice Cooper, Rock Legend]: “It was very subversive compared to what was on the radio at the time so it was great that the British broadcasting would even play it, let alone make it number one, I mean that was what really drove the record to the rest of the world was what happened in Britain.
