Sue Jones, the mother of a 23-year-old British woman who was killed in Thailand twelve years ago, made a fresh plea for information on Thursday to track down her daughter's killer. Jones, along with police officers from Dyfed-Powys in Wales and officials from the British embassy to Thailand, met with the Thai Department of Special Investigation in the northern province of Chiang Mai. Jones is in Thailand to appeal for anyone with information about her daughter's murder to come forward. [Sue Jones, Mother of Murdered Kirsty Jones]: “I'm convinced there is someone who has information that could lead to the arrest of the person who took my daughter's life away.” Jones has also offered 10000 British pounds (491000 Thai baht) for any leads that lead to a conviction. British student Kirsty Jones was three months into a two-year round-the-world trip when she was found dead in a low-cost guesthouse in Chiang Mai in 2000. There was evidence that she was raped and strangled to death. 22 people including residents at the guest house where Kirsty had been staying have had their DNA tested, but so far no match has been found to a sample discovered at the crime scene. Thai police have made a number of arrests but no charges have ever been made. For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me
