They're letting their fingers do the talking – - silently and very quickly. Eleven of the fastest texters in America competed in the US National Texting Championship in New York. Judged on speed and accuracy, two finalists faced off. Winner for the second year was 17-year-old Austin Wierschke. [Austin Wierschke, US National Texting Champion]: “Texting in that last round I was like this is a really impossible phrase. I was trying to take my time on it but I really wanted to win it again so I just went as fast as I could and tried to do my best and Kent did a really good job and he was really accurate so I was really nervous. But it worked out and I am really happy.” Wierschke says he'll use the $50000 US dollar prize money towards his college education.
