(Before It's News)

Former Party official Bo Xilai was finally expelled from the Chinese Communist Party over the weekend. It's the next step to Bo being put on trial. But as his fate becomes clearer, attention is turning to Bo's successor in Chongqing, Zhang Dejiang. Zhang, who belongs to former Party leader Jiang Zemin's faction, is one of the candidates for the next Politburo Standing Committee, the group of men that rule the Communist Party. The new Standing Committee will be revealed during the upcoming 18th Party Congress, which starts this week, and whether Zhang makes it into the Standing Committee could be an indication of the Jiang faction's standing in the current power struggle. Join us as we discuss Zhang's background, the 18th Party Congress, and why Jiang's faction may be losing steam.
