Abu Zayyad: All settlements are illegal and there will be no peace without a complete Israeli withdrawal from the 1967 occupied lands

Abu Zayyad said that the White House statement about settlements saying that the current ones are not an a obstacle to achieve peace but new ones may not be helpful is by itself a problem and reflects a new American position from settlements that encourages the Israeli occupation to continue building illegally on the occupied Palestinian lands.

“The Palestinian point of view is clear; there will be no peace without ending the Israeli occupation and a complete withdrawal from its illegal settlements in the Palestinian lands that are against the International Law and the Security Council resolutions. All changes that Israel is making on the land will not change the Palestinian demands.” Abu Zayyad said in a statement he made. Abu Zayyad stated that these lands are a private property of the Palestinian people and warned the states of the world including the European Union from working with Israeli companies that are involved in the illegal process of building Israeli settlements on the Palestinian land.

In addition Abu Zayyad said that the Palestinian leadership will use every available diplomatic channel including the approach of the International Criminal Court to take every single Israeli leader involved in the occupation actions and settlements building to court. Abu Zayyad criticized the statements made equaling between the Israeli building of thousands of illegal settlements on Palestinian lands with the execution of young Palestinians in the field claiming that they were a security threat. “Israeli Settlements are spreading like cancer in the Palestinian lands and this will result in ending the Two States solution and going towards a One State that Israel wants the Palestinian people to live in it under Apartheid; Israel should understand that the Palestinian people will refuse that and resist to gain its legal rights”. Abu Zayyad said.
Abu Zayyad assured that the Palestinian people is not worried from the threats to cut the financial aid given to supply the Palestinians with basic services needed if they don’t surrender to the Israeli desires stating that Israel is an occupation force and according to the International law it holds the full responsibility of dealing with the needs of the Palestinian people that is living under occupation.
