In a speaking engagement that looked suspiciously like a campaign stump speech, on Wednesday, Barack Obama implied that if Republicans attempted to tie the debt ceiling to the budgetary negotiations, he might ignore them, stating “We’re not going to play that game.” All along, Obama has shown a willingness to exceed his constitutional authority. Since the Debt Ceiling debacle of 2011, there’s word circulating in leftist circles that under the 14th Amendment, there is some authority for the President to ignore Congress in order to satisfy the payment of our debts, but no such authority exists in the 14th Amendment. This is a troubling proposition, and the fact that our Prevaricator-in-Chief now makes these kinds of implications portends potentially lethal danger to our republic. Obama has made little secret of the fact that he detests the prohibitions on excessive government authority in the US Constitution, but ladies and gentlemen, if he hasn’t gone too far already, this should be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back.
To help you understand what this ludicrous, malevolent narcissist has in mind, let’s first view his speech to the Business Roundtable on Wednesday. The most interesting remarks come after the 13:00 mark, but the whole of the speech offers insight into the maniacal thinking of this man. He is going to destroy this economy to exact his revenge, and none should be in the mood to let John Boehner make deals with this sort of mindset:
As to the proposition that the 14th Amendment provides some authority for the President to circumvent Congress, this is a preposterous claim. The relevant sections of the Fourteenth Amendment states:
Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

This suggests to me that the federal reserve/treasury is running out of options to keep the ponzi going, and needs a president that can run it all, quickly and efficiently, as a defacto dictatorship. I really thing this thing is going down, all of it, and that the banking system will not be able to keep control. They need a docile population, unawake, that will allow O to run the country the way the article is suggesting.

I believe the word to describe this action is called, “Autocracy” and this is the exact same path ‘Hitler’ took just a few years ago. The conditions that put Hitler into power were unemployment, social injustice, inflation, political disillusionment and extreme nationalism. The fundamentals of autocracy are a central figurehead, surveillance of the public, discipline and strength through unity. When you get to this point an autocratic leader has so much power they can change he laws as they feel fit. Therefore; your have to ask yourself, is another dictatorship possible ?

Well m44, my guess is the country now has two facets to deal with, and it is the takers vs the makers. Those who work for the government have become the dictators and we have become their servants. It used to be the other way around, and if one took a government job it was they couldn’t cut it in private enterprise, and the government would guarantee them excessive benefits to make up for their lower incomes. Now they have it all while taxing the hell out of the makers so they can exist on higher incomes, higher benefits, better hours, and better working conditions. They now just allow enough income for the average person to get by, but don’t worry, soon the public will wake up and eliminate the whole damned bunch.

We are not responsible for a dime of government debt. We are not obligated to pay a penny to the IRS. The IRS Act was never ratified. “Taxes” paid to the IRS are a direct tribute to the Crown (currently the Queen) of England, look it up, and no where on any Law book is there any mandate or language that compels any American to make that donation.
It has long been obvious that the corporation known as the United States, the elected officials, representatives Senators and pResident included, nor the SCOTUS are operating with the best interests of the population of North America at heart or in mind. Some good comments here. I don’t want to take away from any of that. I would like to present an argument that takes things a little farther, and one that I share with many, have written a thousand different ways, and truly believe in.
First off, if you get a chance to read (or listen to on YouTube) Lysander Spooner No Treason take the time and do it. Written post Civil War by the author, a Northern lawyer, it rips the constitution and the government to shreds. It literally haunted me for days because it shattered any existing precepts I had about the document. I’ll try to give my perspective with that and a myriad other things I have puzzled together…
To begin with, what is the constitution? In reality it is words written on paper by men long since dead. None of these men ever signed it (don’t confuse it with the Declaration, which was courageously signed). Where is the constitution? In the National Archives in Washington D.C. It sits in archive in a territorial district that by all rights is not a part of the united States of America.
Just because something is written on paper, no matter the richness of the rhetoric or the quality of the print or parchment, does not make it contract. If that were the case then anything could be written on paper and bind men to it just because some other men said so. In essence, all things written on paper that are binding as contract, must be explicitly agreed to using the necessary elements of contract or it is nothing more than hearsay.
Contract in its basic form must be fully disclosed. All parties in agreement must prove that via signature or witness in order for the contract to be valid. The agreement must be made without coercion or deceptions of any kind. Any further changes to the contract must be documented and agreed upon or the contract is to be considered void.
Where and when has any man contracted with the constitution using those basic requirements? Oath of office can be considered, but that still just makes a one sided contract. We the people, the other side of the presumed contract, never agreed to anything. It is called ‘social contract’ because there is that presumption by the party in agreement that the unbound party (the people) will honor and adhere to it without factually agreeing to it. That is where this nation is right now. Government acts under the presumption that the people will honor their every whim because words on paper exist in archive. The problem is that the people are deluded into that relationship, and have been for centuries.
Every single Federal statute, code, rule, executive order and legal act supposedly falls under the supreme power of the constitution. There are 10s of millions of additional pieces of paper, all produced by Federal that bind the populace to the authority of Federal. None of those pieces of paper is binding contract either. Because of the initial assumption of the populace, and presumption of the government that the constitution gives unbridled power to an authoritarian government, that government acts in any manner it deems fit, including murderous circumstance, to make sure its rules are followed.
Maybe I missed something, but aren’t amendments necessary in order for changes to be made to the constitution? Yet every Federal act is a small to large change in the wording and binding of the constitution. When there are 10s of millions of changes to a contract, that contract cannot possible be valid. In today’s arena of infinite Federal legislation, in essence everything is against ‘the law’. How can there be a social contract that purports to keep a government in check, with a Bill of Rights notwithstanding, and everything is against the law?
Most people don’t realize that they unwittingly commit a felony multiple times a year. What keeps them from being prosecuted is that a Federal lawyer, and a Federal judge, just haven’t gotten around to prosecuting them, yet. All it takes is an overzealous Federal lawyer to get a burr in his saddle and any one of us can be crushed like a bug. That doesn’t sound like the workings of a constitutional republic to me.
The constitution, and all of the Federal legislation that binds the people, are subject to unlimited interpretation by lawyers at any time. It is this way because all Federal legislation (and all legislation across the western nations) are written in an alien language. That language is called legalese. This is the language of lawyers. Only lawyers, those that have sworn oath to the BAR, are allowed to interpret and apply legalese. This means that all of these legislative contracts are written in a language that a majority of those contracted with are unable, and not allowed, to comprehend. All issues of justice are forcible brought into BAR courts where BAR judges and BAR lawyers debate the undefined, alien terms of contract and apply those decisions to the uninitiated.
We the people exist under contractual terms we never factually agreed to. The terms of those contracts are written in language that is by nature deceptive. The contracted are coerced by threat of force and loss of life, liberty and property into bowing down to the authority of those contracts and their enforcers. The contracts are perpetually changing, and were never written on solid ground to begin with.
Under these conditions, the Officers of Federal can do anything they want. If they want to be dictator, then they can simply claim it at this point. With a population of people so deceived, and so deluded, it isn’t a stretch of the imagination that a majority will roll over to anything Federal types up on paper, has some puppet sign, and then claims supreme.
Being born on a plot of land is not contract. Paying taxes is not contract. Pledging allegiance is not contract. Singing a song or waving a flag is not contract. What is contract are people that lack intellectual competence, agreeing to invalid terms when they should be holding torches and pitchforks. An authoritative power, with unbridled rule and absolute impunity is tantamount to slavery.
This is where the Declaration came in 236 years ago, and this is where it comes forth again, or else we all need to be reading up on our manifestos, because that is the current and future existence of this nation.
