“You will never find a group of more loving and caring people than “Sarah Palin’s Earthquake Movement” (SPEQ). I said during an interview with Coffee, News and Views on Alamo AM 1230 in New Mexico this past Friday. I described to hosts Marcia Stirman and Joann Reynolds my recent trip to Alabama with SPEQ who sponsored three tables. Reynolds is a member of SPEQ. The organization exists to encourage Gov. Palin to run for President, but respects whatever decision she makes.
I explained to listeners that Sarah Palin resigned her office in 2009 because the barrage of frivolous ethics complaints made it impossible for her to govern. I addressed the most recent flap about her tongue-in-cheek comment at the NRA Stand and Fight Rally that “waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.” My grandson who is a Baptist minister had no issues with her comment. I explained how Gov. Palin’s haters are working off the same tired old talking points. I often use passages from Sarah Palin Takes on Big Oil to respond to them. That book provided an unbiased examination of Gov. Palin’s administration. She enjoyed an unprecedented 89% approval rating prior to becoming the 2008 GOP Vice Presidential candidate.
