Russia: Kiev the main obstacle to the implementation of Minsk – Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking in Moscow on Thursday, stated that officials in Kiev are the “main obstacle in the implementation of the Minsk agreement.”
SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (Russian): “We just had very constructive and positive negotiations with my Belgium colleague. Mr. Didier Reynders visits us in several roles, as Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, as Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium.”
SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (Russian): “We discussed the situation in Ukraine and have an opinion that there are no alternative to the full realisation of Minsk negotiations.”
SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (Russian): “We discussed the situation between Russia and the EU. Both sides have an interest in overcoming the difficulties that exist now in our relations. It’s understood that this should be done in equality and mutual respect.”
SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (Russia): “We equally look at the results of the meeting in Lausanne on Iran’s nuclear program. And hope that the political agreement that was written down in Lausanne will be transformed into legal documents by the end of June.”
SOT, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister (Russia): “All recognise, even in European capitals that the main obstacle in the implementation of the Minsk agreement are the actions of officials in Kiev.”
