The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei has expressed his views on the common understanding reached between Iran and the P5+1 in Lausanne last week. The Leader echoed concerns and warnings made by Iranian officials. The underlying theme: a deficit of trust. While the Leader said a deal that upholds Iran’s rights and dignity is welcome, it will be down to the particulars of the deal and how well the other side fulfills its obligations that will be the deciding factors. In this edition of The Debate, we discuss what lies ahead on this long road to reaching that final comprehensive nuclear agreement.
