INDIANA, August 19, 2015– On Wednesday, Jared Fogle’s lawyer told reporters that the former Subway spokesman will plead guilty to charges of having sex with a minor and receiving child pornography.
Attorney Jeremy Margolis said that Fogle’s plea would “fully and completely acknowledge the responsibility for his wrongdoing, his acts and his conduct.”
Fogle’s home was raided by federal agents in early July as part of an investigation tied to the April arrest of the former director of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor. In late April, Taylor was arrested on charges of child pornography and exploitation.
According to the court documents, Fogle was seeking victims as young as 14 years of age. In total, there are at least 14 victims involved.
Fogle regularly traveled to schools across the country to engage with school-children in order to teach them about healthy living.
