Turkey faces snap election as PM Davutoglu abandons coalition effort
People in Turkey are facing more political uncertainty after the ruling AK party confirmed the prime minister has given up trying to find a junior coalition partner.
Ahmet Davutoglu is expected formally to hand the mandate to President Erdogan, who could now try to form an interim power-sharing government ahead of snap elections in the autumn.
