At least 30 killed, 126 injured as bombing rocks Ankara, Turkey – YouTube
A powerful bomb explosion in Turkey’s capital has claimed at least 30 lives, and the death toll is expected to rise.
The blast took place at a junction near the city’s Train Terminal. The Interior Ministry says nearly 130 others have been wounded in the incident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, with ambulances carrying casualties to local hospitals. The blast occurred ahead of a planned “peace” march, against the conflict between the government and Kurdish militants in southeastern Turkey. Following the explosion, police fired shots into the air to disperse a crowd of people who were angered by the attack. The Turkish government has described the incident as a terrorist attack. Initial investigations suggest that a bomber blew off his explosives among the crowd.
