Amnesty urges Saudi regime to stop execution of Ali Nimr – YouTube
According to Amnesty, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr is facing imminent execution for the crimes he’s accused of having committed at the age of 17. However, as the rights body puts it, there’s no credible evidence of the alleged crimes, except a confession made under torture. The rights body added that the families of Ali Nimr and two other activists are very concerned about the possible killing of their sons. Fears were triggered after the Saudi daily Okaz gave news of the execution of four people it described as terrorists. Ali Nimr is the nephew of senior cleric Nimr al-Nimr who was executed along with three Shia activists and 44 others in early January.
