We Can’t Wait: Trump Says He’ll Rebut Clinton’s Foreign Policy Speech
High. Comedy.
That is, if you’re prone to laughing, in order to keep from crying.
Last week, at a rally in San Diego, California, the Democrat-nominee-in-waiting, Hillary Clinton said what most of us already know: Donald Trump is temperamentally unfit, erratic, and basically, a walking nightmare, when you think that this man, should he win the presidency, will have access to the nuclear codes.
For the record, I don’t want her to have them either, but here we are.
Clinton’s comments were in regards to Trump’s foreign policy suggestions (we can’t really call them platforms, since he is prone to change).
Trump, speaking with Jake Tapper, had a few thoughts on Clinton’s comments, as relayed by the Washington Examiner:
“’I will actually be doing it. I think I’m going to go do a retort to her speech,’ the presumptive Republican presidential nominee told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview aired Sunday.
‘Maybe I’ll do it on Monday before the election,’ he suggested, referring to the final round of Democratic and Republican nominating contests next Tuesday.”
Most of us would consider a rebuttal to be a point-counterpoint exchange, where the speaker addressed the issues raised by his opponent, then countered them with lucid, cogent points of his own.
I don’t think we’re going to get that from Trump.
What I know we’ll get is an alien mind-twist, heavily encased in the toad’s usual mish-mash of word salad.
There are no set plans for the “when,” that this gold-plated gem of a comeback will take place, but watch Twitter. Some late night in the near future, we may see it all come streaming out in a firestorm of poorly spelled tweets.
