I-84 East Closed for Hours After Shooting, Fire | 12 Aug 2016 | Interstate 84 East in Hartford has been closed down for hours and will be closed for at least two more after a man shot himself on the highway, according to police. The incident came in around 10:30 a.m. as reports of a vehicle fire on the eastbound side of highway between exits 46 and 48 and shots fired…”Due to the nature of this incident and out of an abundance of caution, we used a bomb robot to clear the van, not knowing what would be in there,” Trooper Tyler Weerden said.
