Those wild and crazy Canadians.
Michelle Rempel is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada and a member of Parliament from Alberta. Here, Rempel is making an impassioned appeal for infrastructure resources for her constituents. She uses a colorful (and pretty effective) analogy that sets off Elizabeth May from Canada’s Green Party.
Rempel pounds her podium and asks, “Why does this government treat Alberta like a fart in the room…that nobody wants to talk about or acknowledge?” This triggers the pearl clutching. May won’t even repeat the word she is objecting to and resorts to spelling it out.
After the vulgar campaign season we just endured this is kind of refreshing. And hilarious.
