The Mosul liberation operation continued on Monday as Iraqi volunteer forces kept up the momentum of their advances in Nineveh province and seized five more villages near the city of Mosul.

Iraqi volunteer forces continued their advances in Nineveh province and seized five more villages near the city of Mosul.
Hashd al-Shaabi took control of Varta and al-Salam villages to the North of Mosul.
The Iraqi volunteer forces also seized back al-Salamieh, al-Zaraeh and al-Hamireh villages to the East of the city.
Iraq’s joint military forces still continue their advances in different flanks of Mosul city.
Hashd Al-Shaabi: Ankara, Barzani Helping ISIL Commanders Flee Tal Afar
Iraqi volunteer forces spokesman Ahmad al-Assadi disclosed that the Ankara government and President of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani are coordinating help to the Turkish-backed ISIL commanders to escape from the city of Tal Afar in Nineveh province.
“In coordination with Barzani, Turkey is trying to take part in Tal Afar military operation in order to achieve its specific goals in Nineveh in addition to helping senior ISIL commanders to escape Tal Afar,” al-Assadi told FNA on Monday.
He said by supporting Barzani, who also leads the Iraqi Kurdistan Democrat Party, Turkey is seeking to achieve its specific goals, including helping ISIL commanders to flee Nineveh province.
Hashd Al-Shaabi Cuts off another Supply Road of ISIL to Tal Afar
The Iraqi volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) managed to cut a strategic supply route of the ISL terrorists in Tal Afar.
“The Iraqi volunteer forces have blocked most of the supply roads to the ISIL in Tal Afar and have prepared a strategic plan for attacking the center of the city,” Hashd al-Shaabi Security Spokesman Yousef al-Kalabi told FNA on Monday.
He, meantime, pointed to Hashd al-Shaabi’s capture of Tal Afar airbase, and said, “The Iraqi volunteer forces struck a heavy blow at the ISIL by seizing control over Tal Afar airport in an area of 16 to 18 square kilometers in a several-hour-long battle,” al-Kalabi added.
He underlined that Hashd al-Shaabi forces have blocked the most important supply routes to Tal Afar airbase, and said, “Hashd al-Shaabi has taken control of 207 square kilometers of lands to the West of Mosul.”

A senior commander of Iraq’s popular forces disclosed that the US, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are behind Ankara’s illegal deployment of military forces in his country.
“The alien countries, headed by the US, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, are supporters of Turkey’s aggression,” Spokesman for Asaeb Ahl Al-Haq Battalion (one of the popular forces fighting alongside the Iraqi army) Javad al-Talibavi told FNA on Monday.
He also referred to certain West-affiliated political sides’ collaboration with Turkey in Iraq, and said the expansionist policies of the Iraqi Kurdistan region’s officials in Nineveh province have helped Ankara to prolong its intervention.
Talibavi, meantime, warned Turkey that in case of attacking the Iraqi forces in the Western parts of Nineveh, they will receive responses outside the battleground.

Syrian Army Marching on Terrorists’ Positions in Eastern Aleppo
Syrian Army troops still continue to drive terrorists out of more positions in the district of Hananou Housing Project after wining control of Jeish al-Fatah’s operations room in the Eastern part of Aleppo city on Monday morning,.
The army soldiers engaged in hours of fierce clashes with Fatah al-Sham Front (the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in Hananou Housing Project, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants and wining control over five military bases and the districts’ graveyard.
Fatah al-Sham’s equipment also sustained major damage in the clashes.
Based on the reports, fierce clashes are underway between the army men and terrorists in Hananou Housing Project and the militant groups’ mortar units have started shelling residential areas to decrease intensity of the army’s offensive.
In the meantime, the army’s missile and artillery units opened heavy fire at terrorists’ gatherings, killing or wounding a number of them.
Syrian Army troops and Quds Devotees popular fighters stormed the positions of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists from three different flanks to take back militant-held districts in Eastern Aleppo on Friday.
Syrian government forces used the Southern side of Tal (hill) Seifan in the first flank to attack the positions of Nouralddeen al-Zinki terrorists.
Army forces also stormed militants’ defense lines via the second flank in Ba’abadin neighborhood towards Ba’eidin square.
The army soldiers and their popular allies also moved through the Southern side of Tal Ba’abadin towards the Youth Housing Complex and Agricultural School and from South of Manasher Brij neighborhood towards Northeast of Hananou neighborhood to form the third flank of the government troops’ large-scale operation against terrorists in Aleppo.
Simultaneous with pro-government forces’ offensives from three flanks, army’s artillery units shelled heavily terrorists’ positions in the region. Heavy shelling has forced the terrorists to retreat from their positions in some regions.
Reports said resistance forces in the first flank have already captured Ba’eidin square that connects the three neighborhoods of Ba’eidin, al-Heidariyeh and Ein Tal and overlooks the entire surrounding area.
In the meantime, army forces and resistance fighter started large-scale attack in Sheikh Saeed neighborhood and managed to advance against terrorists.
The resistance troops’ missile units targeted the terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of al-Mansoureh, al-Rashedeen and Scientific Research Centers in the Western part of Aleppo.
