And the crowd chanted when they saw Donald Trump “Make America Great Again!”

Donald Trump attended the 106th playing of the Army-Navy football game. When the crowd spotted Donald Trump being interviewed, they began to chant in unison “Make America Great Again!” And we are supposed to believe that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote?

  • One of the features of fascism is mass rituals of obedience. See Hitler’s rallies, Mussolini’s rallies, and now US rallies, where the refrain Make Germany Great Again, Restore the Glory that was Rome, and Reagan’s repeat of the Nazi slogan…Make America Great Again, are used for mass hypnosis of the sheeple. This reactionary slogan conflates nation, State, and government, in what Randold Bourne called the means by which war is promoted: “War is the health of the State” he wrote in showing how conformity is induced by the ritual of conflating the country, the government, and the State. That a war game between military rivals should be the scene of such a ritual is only natural for a movement based on unity through war.

This does not represent most Americans, who have rejected Trump by 3 million in the election and 62% in polls. As in all fascist movements, about 1/4 to 1/3 of the sheeple support the Strongman, using rallies to puff up their chests and seek to show that tho they are the minority, they are mighty: the very definition of dictatorship.

Rituals of this nature come straight out of the Nazi playbook. Only the sheeple are fooled.
