Rep. Chaffetz “What I Meant To Say Was…”
So earlier in the day, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) seemed to be channeling his inner-Obama.
In fact, his words from this morning are almost mirror-image of Obama’s words, when he was shilling for that disastrous version of a healthcare bill.

It was while appearing CNN’s “New Day” that Chaffetz made his first blunder.
Earlier Tuesday morning, Chaffetz said Americans may have to sacrifice buying a new iPhone in order to purchase insurance.
“And so maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own healthcare,” Chaffetz told CNN’s “New Day”.
After facing a sufficient amount of backlash on social media, he seems to have thought better of his hasty words.
I mean, seriously, was he not aware of how Obama-esque that was?
He took to Fox News to clarify.
“What we’re trying to say, and maybe I didn’t say as smoothly as I possibly could, but people need to make a conscious choice, and I believe in self-reliance,” Chaffetz told Fox News.
“And they’re going to have to make those decisions. We want people to have access to an affordable healthcare product.”
I get it. Priorities.
That doesn’t change the fact that the people wanted a full repeal. They didn’t want to double down on those things that were broken with Obamacare.
Of those things the new bill offers (some “ok,” others horrid), it scrapped subsidies for purchasing, taxes and mandates were dunked, and Medicaid is capped.
