(Before It's News)

The plot thickens. This will surely get the social media wars rolling again as people pick sides in the Lahren vs. Beck debate.

Apparently, Lahren filed suit against Beck for wrongful termination, and there is going to be a fight over Lahren’s Facebook page:

Tomi Lahren, the young incendiary conservative commentator, is suing her former boss, Glenn Beck and his media firm, The Blaze, for wrongful termination involving her pro-choice comments.

According to Lahren’s suit, filed Friday in Dallas County, The Blaze cancelled Lahren’s show after she made the controversial statement on The View. But The Blaze wanted to keep paying Lahren, the suit says, “presumably hoping they could find an exit strategy to sanitize their unlawful conduct” in breaking Lahren’s employment contract, which was to continue through Sept. 30.

A Blaze spokesman didn’t immediately respond Friday afternoon to a request for comment.

The hubbub surrounding Lahren’s comments was orchestrated to “inflate Beck’s profile, from what has become a mediocre following, all at [Lahren’s] expense,” the suit alleges.

That last part is hilarious. Would anybody outside a fringe conservative audience know who Lahren was without Glenn Beck? The idea that somehow she was carrying him is patently absurd.

The suit alleges that Lahren’s Facebook page, where she has 4.2 million followers, is not The Blaze‘s property.

I won’t get into the legal issues here because I am not an attorney. From a layman’s point of view, it’s hard to see how she argues the property is hers because again, her platform was expanded beyond anything she could have imagined. Does she get to 4.2 million Facebook likes without Beck? Doubtful.

Now that the whole saga will play out in court, expect it to be a mess for some time.
