David W. Duffner, MD, orthopedic surgeon with his own practice, and affiliated with Eisenhower Medical Center and Desert Regional Medical Center, has been named a 2016 Top Doctor in Palm Springs, California. Dr. David W. Duffner is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon, having been in practice for more than three decades. His surgical career began in 1979 when he graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. An internship then followed at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Texas, which was also the site of his residency. A fellowship in adult reconstructive orthopedics was then completed at the prestigious University of Basel in Switzerland, before Dr. Duffner returned to the United States to enter private practice. He has also gained an MBA degree in Medical Business Administration from the University of Houston.
Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Duffner treats a wide range of joint and muscle related conditions, as well as sport injuries. These range from the treatment of fractures, sprains and dislocations to carpal tunnel release, hip resurfacing and replacement, and knee arthroscopy and replacement.
Dr. Duffner was one of the founding members of the North American Spine Society, and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has lectured on this subject across the United States, as well as being the author of many medical papers. When not working he likes to relax by hiking or playing golf. His undoubted expertise as an orthopedic surgeon makes Dr. David W. Duffner a very worthy winner of a 2016 Top Doctor Award.
