Isaiah 46:9-11 (King James Version)

9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

According to the introduction of the book of Isaiah in the 1560 Geneva Bible, when the prophets wrote the stories of the Word, they were commanded to write them in the past tense, as though they had already taken place.

"……And in reading of the Prophets, this one thing among others is to be observed, that they speak of things to come as though they were now past, because of the certainty thereof, and that they could not but come to pass, because God had ordained them in his secret counsel, and so revealed them to his Prophets. "

If this is true then the question is this. Did we learn the lesson before the day of reckoning comes? Before the hour of temptation comes upon the whole world?
