In a recent interview with Israeli television, Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç said it would be a positive thing for Israel to pick Turkey as a partner, if it wants to start afresh with Turkey. He also said teaming up with Turkey would be good for Israel’s security. Following Arınç’s remarks, Turkey’s Tel Aviv charge d’affaires Doğan Işık said Turkey and Israel are like two brotherly states and cannot be separated, despite the state of sour political relations between the two countries, in a meeting this weekend.
Işık recalled that there are eight daily flights from Tel Aviv to İstanbul and that all flights between Israel and the US and China to the US feature a stopover in İstanbul. A source from the Turkish Foreign Ministry speaking to Today’s Zaman said on Monday that “without a doubt, such a statement [sending a positive message to Israel] can only be made with the knowledge of Ankara.” It was also learned by Today’s Zaman that Deputy Foreign Ministry Naci Koru has recently extended a message to the Israeli officials through diplomatic channels that Turkey wants to start afresh with Israel. In the meantime, I want to make a few points and ask you both a question on this issue that has me scratching my head.

In answer, I would like to point out that just because prophecy points to the existence of something does not mean that it has God’s tacit approval. It’s “just saying”. Consider for example, the four horsemen. “Power was given” — this Wrecking Crew is given permission to venture forth in a huge power grab. Note the loud voice of the first beast calling forth the first horseman is an angry roar. Not exactly a vote of approval. Also consider the testing of Job. It was allowed to prove his mettle. So, eretz Yisrael is a testing ground but not necessarily a blessing for the jews.
The whole point of Judgment falls to the individual response to what is happening overall. People are going to get sorted out. The stage is definitely set. The foundations are definitely being destroyed. Because we don’t know the exact particulars of the abomination of desolation we have to wait almost up to the last moment, “When you see… then …” False christs are a major distraction up to that critical point. That’s why it’s folly to claim to know who it is.

Aside from having no biblical support, what logical claim do the Europeans who’s ancestors converted to judaism and migrated to Palestine in 1948, have to Palestine? You know as well as I do, that the origin of those jews was not in the Middle East. If they don’t like that the Palestinians will not give up their identity, they can pick up their crap and leave, or they can at least remove their illegal settlements in the West Bank, Golan and everywhere else in the region.

A fulfillment of what promise? And, yes, to the last question. This Earth will dissolve and Israel will be ‘Rebuilt’.

Thank you both for your answers. I think it is good to flush these things out to help try and sort things out. While I chewed on some of the food you both provided, I haven’t digested anything yet, but I at least have a taste of where you’re both coming from. So with that, I have some more points and food for thought to consider.

I agree. Scripture shows God can use evil people (think Pharaoh) to perform his purposes. Along these lines, you mentioned the 4 horsemen. I have to disagree that the rider on the white horse falls into this category of not having God’s “vote of approval”, as you say. Note that in chapter 6 of Zechariah, which I believe dovetails with chapter 6 of Revelation, the black horses go forth towards the north and the white horses pursue them (as per verse 6), and in verse 8, it tells us those that go towards the north satisfy or quiet God’s spirit. But this is another topic in and of itself.

You provided a passage from Hebrews about looking forward to the heavenly country, a city built by God, the New Jerusalem, and I love that passage, I look forward to the heavenly country with all my being and I can’t wait! But that of course speaks to things on the other side of the Second Coming. I want to focus on the things on this side of the Second Coming. And in order for certain Scriptures to be fulfilled, Jews, real Jews, not, for lack of a better term, “Khazar Jews” (I took a peek at the Alan Morrison article), have to be in the land of Israel. So far so good right?
Let me pause here a moment and provide some of the Scriptures that have to be fulfilled by real Jews in the end times, on THIS SIDE of the Second Coming. Speaking of the Jews, Paul said:

Matthew 24:30 tells us all tribes will weep for the Son of Man, and that includes the Jews:
“And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”

So in order for these things to take place, there have to be real Jews in Israel. But are there not SOME real Jews in the land of Israel today? According to the Morrison article, upwards of 85% of the Jews in Israel are “Khazar Jews”, which means I guess that about 15% of the Jews in Israel today are real Jews. Or even if the real Jews are spread out in the world (they have to be somewhere right?) can they not come to modern day Israel to fulfill Scripture if, for example, a modern day Cyrus were to come on the scene?
The point is even though there are “Khazar Jews” mixed in among them, why can’t the fact that there are or will be some real Jews in the land of Israel today be sufficient to fulfill Scripture? Why must Israel be dissolved and rebuilt?

However the language of the roar indicates violent passion and the language of the one sitting on the horse indicates intense opposition to God’s rule — according to Strong’s. The white horse indicates a seat of power.
Something to consider — is that God allows the counterfeits of Satan.
The language of the bow appears to indicate the basic elements.

I’m not sure how Strong’s considers the language of one sitting on the horse to be in opposition to God’s rule, but I see the narrative by John in chapter 6 to be kind of like a reporter reporting what he sees and hears, nothing more and nothing less.
But anyways, the first two verses of chapter 6 say:
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
So the rider on the white horse has bow, a crown, and went forth to conquer.
I see the Book of Revelation as a 10,000 foot overview or outline of the end times. And some of the details are augmented or filled in by the Old Testament prophets, who spoke of the same events and time period Revelation speaks of. For example, chapter 11 of Revelation speaks of the two witnesses, or two olive trees before the Lord, and we can get further information about them from Zechariah. Likewise, Revelation speaks of the New Jerusalem, as does Isaiah and other prophets.
So speaking about the end times, Isaiah speaks of a righteous man with a sword and a bow, who the Lord Himself brings forth to do something that sounds an awful lot like conquering:
2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he.
—Isaiah 41:2-4
The Lord has wrought this and is with this one called “the last”. And he does indeed conquer, for further in this same chapter, Isaiah says:
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
—Isaiah 41:25-26
And I believe Cyrus, described in chapter 45 of Isaiah, was a forerunner or type of this one who is the last, this conqueror. And then in chapter 46 of Isaiah, the Lord says this:
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
—Isaiah 46:9-11
Notice in verse 10 above, the Lord says He is declaring the END from the beginning (showing only He is God). So in Isaiah, we have this description of a righteous man, with a bow, who goes forth and treads upon the nations, and he is the last, in the end times, foretold by the Lord, and the Lord is with him. So where is this one spoken of by Isaiah spoken of in the end times script known as the Book of Revelation? I believe he is the rider on the white horse.
Hi AM123 — Hope I get this comment in the right place. Yes, that John is writing as a reporter/witness is very evident. My study in Revelation started at the beginning and I am at Rev. 11 right now. It is very important to use parallel passages for enlightenment and understanding of spiritual *types*. But they don’t always reconcile as a cohesive interpretation and that’s why we keep studying, right?
I find it very helpful to use the interlinear English and Greek text to see how the text lines up grammatically in the Greek. Each command to Come is to the horseman as a directive to commence the action and not to John to “come and see”. Even though John does see as in *I saw and behold!* (Wow, I could see it)
Each of the four horsemen is introduced by one of the four creatures from around the throne in chapter four, commanding each one to Come. Only the first horseman is announced with thunder (roar, in the greek). It really can get quite grammatical when it comes to passive, reflexive and middle voices, et al. But it does paint better 3-D picture that captures the drama more fully.
I didn’t look at the Hebrew word for Bow only the Greek which is toxon(5115). Toxon derives from tikto(5088) = as the simplest fabric and the ability to produce or bring forth.

Slight misunderstanding here, but that’s my fault for not being specific. Jerusalem is and always will be where the Most High demanded it to be, regardless of what we call the patch of dirt or who occupies it. Jerusalem does not cease to be because the Jews don’t have a claim to the land. It’s still there and it’s very likely that some of the Chosen do reside there now as Luke 21:20 indicates.
I used Hebrews 11: 8-16 to show that there is no promise to return and occupy Jerusalem this side of the Millennium:
“if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”
The “rebuilt” reference was in relation to New Jerusalem, which he hath prepared for us. That’s the only promise I see that relates to this discussion.
And I do not believe the Talmudist occupation of Israel is a genuine fulfillment of the parable of the fig tree (is there a second verse or parable to support the common assumption about the meaning of the fig tree parable?). I believe it is part of that mirror of mockery M.O. – taking credit where credits not due with the end goal of creating a counterfeit end times scenario.

So far so good. But here is my issue: all that is too vague. Fake Jews. Khazarian peoples. Why not just say that prophecy was fulfilled when the Rashidun Caliphate sieged the Nation from the Byzantine Empire in 637 A. D.? Or when the first crusaders took it in 1099?
Was the only obstacle holding any of them back from a legitimate occupation their reluctance to lie about their beliefs by calling themselves Jews? Was that all anyone ever had to do, lie and call themselves Jews? Perhaps.

Theoretically, I don’t discount the possibility. I also don’t discount the possibility that WWII was a ploy to DRAW the true Jews to Israel and, then, setting themselves up for destruction like a ‘kamikaze nation’. There’s a lot we can extrapolate from the possibilities but the truth is that the true Jews are not the ones who are managing Israel’s occupation.

Again, I don’t discount the possibility that the Most High has used the Khazars to bring the true Jews back to Israel for this very purpose (which is why I would pray for those Jews and not the land of Israel). I also find it possible that any reference to Israel, Jerusalem, Judea, etc., comes with a spiritual perspective, whereas, they speak to the true Church – meaning Messiah’s sacrifice nullified any previous land arrangements allowing for the Church to globalize. In this case, Luke 21 could just as well be a warning to all those who belong to the Faith. Paul’s insight in to the Abomination of Desolation comes to mind here, when he speaks about the Body as the Temple. This is where it does get confusing and I’ve yet to hammer out the details. (If I’m not making much sense here then someone please feel free to step in and help clarify.)

I don’t know Netanyahu’s heart, but he seems like a secular politician, similar to say a Christian politician in America who pays lip service to Christians and Christianity. But he may have a heart for Judaism and the Most High, I don’t know. But I do know the Most High can influence and use whom He wills and/or put in positions of power whom He wills. And this also I know, if Netanyahu (or Israel’s next leader perhaps) comes to know Messiah and has a true born-again experience, all bets are off and I would say it could be full-steam ahead with God’s plan at that point. And a scenario similar to that could be part of what Paul is talking about in Romans chapter 11.

I agree with W. Willow regarding the AOD, it will only be clear once we get there. We can only speculate at this point in time. And at this point, I can’t see the AOD speaking about the body because of the A.C. putting an end to the daily sacrifice. It is obvious what the daily sacrifice is in the Jewish temple, but what in the world would be putting an end to the daily sacrifice be if we’re talking the body?
And this is another topic in and of itself, but I do believe the law of Moses has not been done away with yet and cannot be done away with until this heaven and earth are done away with. So to me that plays strongly into the evidence that we’re talking about a literal temple.

My understanding of the verse is that the synagogue of satan must only ‘declare’ (legontōn – λεγόντων) themselves to be Jews, but they are not actually Jews – they lie (pseudontai – ψεύδονται).
