The Mystery of Babylon Revealed – The Great Whore Destroyed By The Mother Of Harlots & The Ten Kings
Mystery Babylon The Mother of Harlots
~~Mystery Babylon the mother of Harlots, represents confusion and idolatry; the word Babylon literally means confusion.
Through the Spirit of Christ, Mystery Babylon is not really a mystery, we can know of Satan’s devices and not be deceived by them.
Just as the Mystery of the Gospel of Christ is revealed by the Spirit, so to is the revelation of this Mystery Babylon system.
Without Satan, this Mystery Babylon phenomenon could not exist. The mystery of iniquity is the workings of Satan, blinding men from the truth of Christ. This iniquity will only intensify in the last days, known as The Great Tribulation.
The Mother of Harlots produces or orchestrates confusion idolatry and deceit. In Christ we can have life, but Satan who gives birth to all false religions, produces death and destruction.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Almost the entire focus of Revelation chapters 17 through 19, are on Mystery Babylon. Interestingly enough, only six verses in these chapters are devoted to the Great Whore, and in these six verses the following is revealed:
◾John is told that the judgment of the Great Whore will be revealed to him (Rev 17:1).
◾A brief description of the Great Whores sins are given, explaining why she is to be judged (Rev 17:2).
◾The place she occupies is given (Rev17:1 &15).
◾This judgment is indeed revealed to be at the hands of the ten kings that destroy her (Rev 17:16).
◾The Lord God is righteous in His judgment of her (Rev 19:2).
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
This Great Whore (that represents spiritual idolatry), occupies the minds of many people who subscribe to this belief system, or have been indoctrinated by this spirit of deception. The headquarters of her Spiritual deception if you will, is Jerusalem. The Whore occupies a place, and represents a people group, that have corrupted others through great idolatry (Rev 17:15).
The vast majority of the world is already drunk from the deception grand illusions and idolatry that this Whore system has produced, at the hands of Mystery Babylon. Without Christ, and the key He offers that allows mankind to understand the Spiritual Mystery of the Kingdom of God, few will sober up and realize this last period of deception is terminal.
The ten kings will destroy the place and power of the Great Whore system. The Mother of Harlots, or Satan, will take over and occupy Jerusalem. The Beast and False Prophet, are the new representatives of this Mystery Babylon system, that most of the world will fall prey to.
The word mystery is used twenty seven times in the New Testament.
◾Twenty two times it is used in reference to the mystery of the Gospel, the Mystery of Godliness or the secret things in Christ.
◾The key to the mystery of Christ, and His Gospel, that can only be known through His Holy Spirit, is described in Eph 3:4-5.
◾Twice it is used to describe Satan’s system, known as Mystery Babylon, and the city he desecrates (Rev 17:18; Rev 14:8; Rev 16:19; Rev 18:10; 16, 18,19, 21).
◾The mystery of the blindness of Israel after the flesh is referred to in Rom 11:15.
◾It is also used in reference to the mystery of iniquity (2 Thes 2:7). The identity of the architect of this “mystery of iniquity,” is only unknown to those that are blinded by him, as he is the god of this world (2 Cor 4:1-14).
Iniquity is the violation of the Law of Christ, and all who are offended by Him are workers of iniquity (Rom 8:2; 10:4; 1 John 3:4; Math 23:28; Math 13:41; 2 Cor 6:14).
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
The architects or instigators of this idolatry, or spiritual deception (through Satan as the chess master behind the scenes), are referred to as a people, a multitude (or class of people), a nation and a tongue (or language). There are several clues within this verse to help the reader understand the identity of these waters.
The word and, that is used, is that of a connector. A better word that should have been used instead of and, would have been the word, also. The reference here is to a group, and also a certain class of people, they also represent a nation, and also a tongue.
Up until their destruction and removal from power, a multitude in Jerusalem who are without Christ, represent a class of people, a tongue and a nation. The Whore system is to be removed by the ten kings. After the two witnesses have been murdered in Jerusalem by the Beast, those that rejoice over this act, are a different group of people entirely. They are referred to as peoples, kindreds,(or tribes of the nations) tongues and nations (Rev 11:8-10).
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
The gentiles, or nations will crush or tread upon the Holy City.
The use of these four words used together in one sentence, people(s), multitude(s), nation(s) and tongue(s), occurs no where else in the book of Revelations.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
This verse is an obvious referral to the city of Jerusalem (Math 23:31; Luke 11:47; Romans 11:3; 1 Thes 2:15).
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Mystery Babylon The Mother of Harlots – Christ will gather the nations to the great battle of Armageddon. He will completely destroy the entire Mystery Babylon system, take the Kingdom and reign with His Elect on earth (Rev 18:8; Rev 16:14; Zec 14:2; Dan 2:44; Dan 7:9-22; Mathew 6:10).
Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
The abomination of desolations in these last days represents the final period of time, in which God’s holy mountain is desecrated by evil and idolatry.
This period of deception, also, is far greater than that of the Great Whore’s reign of terror.
Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
The daily sacrifice is not taken away. The word sacrifice, is added to this verse in a futile attempt, to create the justification for a particularly demonic teaching. In this twisted fable, a covenant is made between Israel and Satan, and the jewish people reinstitute animal sacrifices. This pathetic excuse for Biblical theology, is crushed in an article entitled Daniel 9:27.
The daily, or continual, is taken away by the man of sin. Obviously he will create quite a bit of turmoil, and the daily, which refers to the continuance of everyday events will radically be altered.
Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
This last and short lived kingdom, will definitely change the daily events for everyone.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
This demonically inspired Beast will change the laws of God, and will demand to be worshiped as god.
The Wine of The Wrath of Her Fornication
Rev 18:2-3 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
There is a huge difference between being drunk, and drinking or partaking in something.
Rev 17:2 …and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,
In Rev 18:3, the word drunk means to partake of, therefore the word drunk in Rev 17:2, has a completely different meaning from the work drunk here in this verse. The verse below should clarify this difference. Simply stated all that partake in this Mystery Babylon deception, who worship Satan and the Beast are condemned to hell (Rev 14:9, 11; Rev 15:2; Rev 19:20).
Mystery Babylon The Mother of Harlots
Those that have involvement with the worship and following of this Beast system led by Satan, will suffer the wrath of God. The wine of this Mystery Babylon system represents Satan’s false religion. As the Mother of Harlots, or Whores, Her fornication represents idolatry, which is worship of anyone or any thing other than God.
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Some of the Other Notable Differences Between the Great Whore and the Mother of Whores
Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Mystery Babylon the Great is destroyed directly by God. The Great Whore is destroyed by the ten kings, as God puts it into their hearts to do so (Rev 17:16-17).
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
The kings lament after the destruction of Mystery Babylon, and all of the merchants of the earth weep for her, but no one weeps when the Great Whore is destroyed.
Rev 13:7-8 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Power over kindreds, and tongues, and nations but not all people
Satan, or the Mother of Whores, accomplishes that which her daughter the Great Whore did not. All that are not sealed through Christ will succumb to the seduction, entrapment and ultimate goal of the Mystery Babylon deception; the deceived will worship him and the Beast he controls (Rev 13:8).
Jerusalem Will be the Seat of The Beast
Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Jerusalem is to be that great city that reigns over the kings of the earth, as the Beast sets up his headquarters there.
Dan 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Jerusalem is the city where the prophets and apostles were killed.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent to you (Matt 23:37)
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
The words great and city are used together as a single phrase ten times in the New Testament. All of these references are found in the book of Revelations; nine times the reference is made towards Mystery Babylon, and once with respect to New Jerusalem, that Great City that descends out of Heaven (Rev 21:10).
Rev 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Obviously, with the Beast reigning in this city, it is referred to spiritually as Sodom and Egypt. Mystery Babylon, is no longer a mystery!
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication
Jerusalem is the Holy City, but it will be crushed and desecrated by Satan (Isa 52:1; Rev 21:2; Rev 22:10, 19).
