The only three websites to check for accuracy that I'm aware of are listed below in the order of ethics from highest to least as follows:
The only thing I tell people is that they shouldn’t take everything they (all three of them) say as the gospel truth. I have found that 95% of the people I know will take what Snopes.com says as the gospel truth. I personally would not seek answers from any of them. However, the best way to establish the veracity of their comments is to obtain inputs from all three of them. Then, compare the three inputs in a matrix. If there is a definite difference from the Conservative to the Liberal/Progressive comments, you can then guess that politics have come into play in their answers.
Only if all three agree on everything about a certain question, then I would tend to feel that they may be correct in their analysis. After all, these people are human beings just like you and I making an analysis with our separate biases, prejudices, philosophies, ethics, ideologies, and political leanings. Frankly, I would rather take a comment from a conservative over that of a liberal because of my constitutional conservative bias. Additionally, most liberals lie, distort the truth, or don't know what they are talking about. Just look at Congress. They are all liars (both parties).
Leftist Snopes.com
Snopes.com frequently says that the quote you provided is “Probably False.” That’s expected from a leftist Snopes.com organization of two people working out of their den in their home. With an answer like “Probably False,” they could have just as well said “Probably True.” They really don’t know whether it is true or false, but their response shows that they are left leaning. If they had said “Probably True,” they would then be right leaning. The answers that these supposed experts give are usually very telling. It is similar to the glass half-empty vs. half-full analogy. Think about it.
Dealing with Hackers and Their Viruses
I had received a couple of emails saying that the “Black in the White House” virus that I had previously forwarded to my email lists is a hoax. However, please consider the following:
P.S. I hope you heard of virus, counter-virus, counter-counter-virus, and ad infinitum–sort of like espionage, counter-espionage, and counter-counter-espionage or terrorism, counterterrorism, or counter-counterterrorism. That’s what could go on with these warnings. We must stay a step ahead of these misguided hackers who have the brains to do great and wonderful things; however, they possess a twisted sense of humor and would rather do destructive, immoral, unethical, and illegal things with their genius knowledge. It’s sad but true.
Those hackers who prepare these hoaxes represent wasted genius. What a waste of God-given talent. All the good they can do, but they choose to satisfy their twisted sense of humor. They are such misfits of society.
Hoaxers Need to Get a Life
A friend had sent me a truthorfiction.com link, which apparently shows that the president of the United States (POTUS) and first lady’s left-hand salute to the flag is a fake, doctored photograph. Unethical people who pull such stunts on the pubic really need to get a life. Apparently, they have nothing better to do with their time than to attempt to mislead people, and they probably get a big kick out of their unethical activities. It makes life extremely difficult for serious researchers to separate out the true emails from those that are hoaxes.
I’m always searching for the truth, and so, that’s why I forward items that appear to be true and ask those who receive it to see if anyone may have received anything that proves whether an item maintains veracity, proves fakeness, or whether the jury is still out on a rumor. Whenever I receive a plausible explanation that debunks an assertion, claim, hoax, or rumor, I will send them out to everyone on my distribution lists. I appreciate those who forwarded me the analysis of the reversed and doctored photograph of the POTUS and first lady saluting the flag.
Anymore, it is difficult to determine what is real and what is phony these days. People who create these hoaxes need to get a life. Why they spend their time creating fake emails instead of doing something creative and constructive is beyond me.
Why do people originate these emails if they are fabricated? Do they get a big kick out of doing that? I can’t tell when anything is true or false anymore. I cannot even depend on Snopes.com and FactCheck.org because they don’t always tell the truth either.
The people who fabricate these stories must get a weird sense of humor out of doing these things. They need to get a life. For example, I recently received an email that spoke very highly of three people. However, later, I found that the email was a hoax. The only saving grace from this fiction, as compared to others, is that it at least boosts the image of the three people in question. Many fictional stories of real people put the subjects in a bad light–such as many of the fictional stories of Obama and his wife. I can hardly tell the difference between truth and fiction anymore–especially with the doctoring of photographs and videos. Our country and society are in such a sad state of affairs.
The Liberal Media and True or False Websites
The liberal media, liberal Snopes.com, and liberal FactCheck.org are all fighting a particular rumor. However, I never doubt anything that the Obama administration could be doing. Just look at their track record thus far. In Congress recently, they were attempting take away our freedom of speech. They are also working to take away our freedom to bear arms. Furthermore, they are working to give the POTUS the power to shut down the Internet during a crisis. That would take away our right to communicate with emails and newsletters as we are doing right now. Can you believe that? It’s true. Hence, I only believe what conservative media and TruthOrFiction.com (a conservative True or False website) tell us. If we believe the liberals, statists, progressives, and socialists, we will be doomed. Just look what they have done to our society over the past half century. Don’t believe anything that liberals say until we start turning things around on November 2, 2010.
